Japanese American Heritage Night

In the past we’ve held Japanese Heritage Night at Citi Field in Flushing, Queens, and at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. The sounds of Soh Daiko’s drums filled the air, and yukata-clad dancers performed Bon Odori with the Japanese Folk Dance Institute of New York. The Origami Therapy Association taught Mets and Yankees fans how to fold cranes and kabuto. JAANY awarded individuals and organizations with Spirit Awards, and the Men’s Glee Club of New York performed the National Anthem.
